How many times have you reached your fitness + body goals only to back off and inevitably end up right back where you started?
Those same goals over and over again. I remember the first time I really explored this topic... It leaves me with a lump in my gut.
That same old stuck feeling, you know?
And that got me thinking...
What if the reason we don’t maintain the results long-term,
(keeping us stuck on the wheel chasing after the same goals time and again)
is because we forgot to include the most important aspect of our being.
Our feminine intuition.
We’ve been taught to reach our goals through a more masculine approach:
Train more + harder
Eat less and drop the treats
Restriction over pleasure
And as a result we end up “falling off the wagon” so to speak when life gets topsy-turvy because this “way” was never ours.
In fact, it’s actually our intuition that pushes us off the wagon, because she wants to point our attention inward to something we still haven’t retrieved, honored and integrated into our being.
And like any wild woman aspect of our being…she wants to be seen. Not locked away in a cage.
Phew, take a moment, that's some pretty heavy stuff. But I know you know what I mean…
We know our body and mind speak to one another. That the whole purpose of mindfulness is to increase intuition….
So then the question becomes,
“What the heck does your intuition have to say with regards to your results?”
Well, she has a lot of things to say and much to help us discover and reclaim about ourselves.
But it’s going to look a whole lot different than just following a standard diet + exercise plan.
She’s calling for you to :
Look at old scripts
Patterns of behavior
Hidden aspects of yourself that need a lot of TLC
These are the real reasons behind what keep us truly stuck in a perpetual cycle of accomplishing the same goals.
Because if you’re always on the hamster wheel of achieving the same goals, you can never actually do what you were meant to do…
And let me tell you, it’s not about fixating on that last 5-10 lbs for the rest of your life.
There’s so much more for you…you feel me Wonder Woman!?
And so this is why I'm a huge advocate of leaning in. Because right now, your intuition has the plan and would LOVE to share how results can be achieved.
Here's what it looks + feels like to be in-tune to what your body's wisdom (intuition) :
You feel drawn to a certain kind of workout.
Example: Maybe you crave less cardio and want to implement strength training. But you fear that you need to burn a ton of calories on the treadmill to keep your body super lean and you’re afraid weight training will cause bulk.
You crave a certain way of eating.
Example: You feel drawn to a different food group or want to add more pleasure and less restriction into your diet. But you fear that could reduce your nutrition and lead to weight gain.
You feel called to change things up in a certain way.
Example: What used to motivate you or excite you feels off or even boring. Your priorities have shifted, your life is much fuller, and you don’t have time to spend hours a day on your self care…yet you still need it and want it to be enjoyable instead of another chore on your to-do list.
That's when really leaning into your intuition is key.
Because these examples are the “stuff” that’s begging to be explored.
Your intuition is telling you,
there's a disconnect between your results + journey.
She’s whispering for you to dive
deeper into yourself to discover your way to results that will serve your best interests…for the long-term.
Remember, your intuition knows the long and short game to make you feel vibrant, energized, and happy…
And when you follow your wisdom + your own unique path…your metabolism, physical body, and emotional state will be aligned.
….which supports you in making the changes to get and KEEP the results you crave.
How you feel about getting and staying on track tells you a lot about how much you’re listening to your inner wisdom + allowing her to be your guide...versus pushing, pulling, and forcing.
With Valentine’s Day around the corner, this whole concept is what self love and care is all about.
Why not lean in?
I've got 2 spots for this kind of deep dive in March. Here's the link to book in for a chat. I'd love to speak with you. :)
