Well the truth is, two different women can have completely different goals and set points.
For example, sometimes I’ll have a client who has been with me for years, and she’s totally motivated to learn new breathwork techniques to :
Manage stress
Stay in the present moment during her workout so she can really feel her body
To move repressed + stuck feelings out of her body that are causing pain + stiffness
Her goals and desires may look like :
I want to use Pilates as a way to connect with my inner voice. To be more confident at work + in family matters.
So, I’d custom create her workouts, with the appropriate modalities, that “filter” around all these goals.
We’d use the breathwork to reduce stress in her body, and set up her workout goals to have her really do some inner + outer work.
But then I’ll have a client that’s looking for something completely different.
Example…Perhaps she’s burnt out from the gym or chasing that HIIT workout. She cannot spend one more precious second of her life counting calories.
For this client, the intention is creating workouts that inspire her! Weaving in modalities that call forward ways to have a fun and healthy relationship with her body in the now.
For this client, goals + desires may be :
Feel sexy and own her confidence now
To find ways to achieve killer sculpted results
Sleep more
Eat without restriction
Enjoy her daily workouts
So the “filter” for this client, as you can see, is totally different.
Before you embark on your new fitness routine, I encourage you to take some time to set a powerful intention.
Intention = Customized Plan = Motivation
Because the truth is, we don’t have to wait 90 days to feel good. It’s about starting with the way we want to feel to create the outcomes we truly desire.
