You’re so not alone, 2022 has had a very heavy start to it…but this week, was an absolute doozy! You felt that heavy moon energy too?!
I've heard over and over,
"Hey Paige, this is a mess! I’ve decided I’m not even starting my New Year yet…I’ll turn it over when I’m good and ready.”
Things we thought we already processed + worked through in ALL areas are tripping us up. The “heavy things” are making us spend longer in the muck…making it harder to "gain a foothold" this new year.
Even if we know in the long run, it's good to process and deal with heavier or big issues like family, relationships, or physical set backs…
A general theme that's coming up is,
“What can I do to find the lightness within the heavy?”
(Be this goals, results, actually starting or feeling that fresh spark...)

Take, (let's call her Ashley)…
A client of mine spent years training harder so that she could reach her strength goals.
But every time she pushed harder, her body pushed backed.
Tension headaches
Re-injury of chronic issues
Spasms + pain in her muscles
She started to feel defeated because these adverse reactions caused her to take a week off or stop altogether for a while before she could get back in the game.
She opened up to me that her body didn't seem to support her goals. The more she tried, the more she felt like a failure. And that is so frustrating! Can you relate?
Like so many of us who have dealt with chronic pain, injury or physical issues...sometimes we're held back because of,
Fear of re injury
Mistrust of what our body can handle
Blocked unprocessed emotions
Feeling let down from lack of results or set backs
But from what I've experienced and what I've seen inside the studio is that most of the time, we "fail" because,
We overtrain…leading to exhaustion + minimal results
We consistently push… rather than relaxing + supporting the body. Pushing hard only when we feel energized
We mentally beat ourselves up
When Ashley and I began working together in my 6 week online program, we realized in her first session how to get her the strength results she’s ALWAYS craved!
HERE’S WHAT THAT LOOKED LIKE FOR HER, STEP-BY-STEP:
FIRST:
We supported what felt heavy, using breathing techniques inside each session to “Reset,” her nervous system and fluid, low intensity exercises that opened her body up.
There was a deep fear of re injury and this is so common.
Most people “push through OR avoid the work,” but in Ashley’s case, we brought in the mind + body connection to reduce stress hormones + anxiety so her body could relax.
NEXT:
We integrated specific modalities that would increase her strength in a supportive yet challenging way (as to keep her nervous system calm).
By going INTO her heaviness we were able to create a plan that she and her body could trust.
RESULTS?!
Amped up results : Workouts increased from 1-2x per week to 3+
Confidence boost : Pattern of re injury stopped
Mental shift : Transformed critical inner voice into a compassionate friend
Momentum : She felt, saw and continues to gain results
And although she’s still going though some deeper life changes + challenges, what she shared with me was powerful,
“Paige, if it wasn’t for what we accomplished these last 3 weeks, there’s no way my body + mind would be in such good condition”
We literally supported her in all aspects — emotionally, mentally, and physically.
That’s the secret!

Because when we feel supported, we're stronger + happier in every way!
That gives us that spark or charge of positivity we need to fuel ourselves though the "heavier parts," of our journey.
2022 might be a slower start...but we're in it together.
And we're stronger together.
