Not the proverbial rug...the actual rug!
We’re wired to crave a certain amount of instability in our lives. It creates excitement! 🎉 However, there is a delicate balance between our need for instability and stability.
When this relationship is thrown off, we can end up feeling like Little D. 😿
😳 - If you’ve sustained an injury
😳 - If your Scoliosis has flared up
😳 - If you’ve re-injured yourself
😳 - If the entire global economy shut down from a pandemic 😷
You might be feeling a bit out of sorts. 🙃
CREATING BALANCE IN THESE UNSTABLE TIMES
Balance is an equalizing of pressures.
I used to think that to feel balanced, I needed to remove pressure from my life. However, that is not the case.
Balancing embodies a stillness, yet it’s actually quite active. Check out my balancing act below and see for yourself!
I’m constantly renegotiating my relationship to gravity, to my two-way stretch, and to my myself.
As the pressures on our time, work, and socializing lessen; life is becoming more still. This does not mean that we are to become passive. It’s essential that we find a way to balance ourselves (meet our needs) in new ways.
RITUAL
Ritual is a healthy way to regain your footing. Ritual does not have to be synonymous with religion.
A practice is a practice, and it’s sacred if you say it is.
🔵 - Meditation
🔵 - A daily walk
🔵 - Cooking with loved ones
🔵 - Moving your body daily
🔵 - Doing your rehab exercises
🔵 - Having an evening 🔥
🔵 - Journaling
It can be anything!
Just make it simple and significant.
